The Electrotone Bass page.

Here is what I suspect to be a homemade or a modded bass. It sports the words "Electrotone" on the head. This bass is my favorite one and it has a big, round, warm and precise sound. The pickups looks a lot like hofner ones; maybe they are? The body of the bass itself looks like an union between a Mosrite and a Stratocaster...The element where you put your right hand to rest is here on the bass side, when it was on the treble side on the Emperador bass. The bridge is a really vintage one, like those on the Teles...hard to get a perfect intonation. I don't relly feel it. The neck is excellent, and easy for my little hands. 20 cases only, but isn't it enough to play R&R? Noel still agrees.
