There is a date stamped on the mains transformer: 1961.

As you can see on this pic, the amp sports two EL34, one GZ34, two 12AX7 and one 6AT6 (hard to find).

I do not know much else about this amp, as finding documentation about this company is just impossible. It has a 12" speaker, which I really dig: warm with plenty of mediums, like a Celestion G12.

It is just impossible to get a clean sound with this amp. The caps must be too old, or maybe the resistors...playing it at low volume only gives you a trash sound you just can't go on with.

But when you crank it, it has one of the best dirty sound I've ever heard!

Put a Tubescreamer on and it gets the most compressed, singing, sustained distortion available; makes me think of Radio Birdman leads...Better than a Marshall!

So a very limited amp, but what he does, he does it well! I'll never part with it.

This is a great amp! RV must have been a french company, as the control panel is written in french (sorry I didn't provided a pic, I just forgot!). This company's products were used by many well-known early sixties french R&R bands, as I have pics of them using it. I think of Les Chats Sauvages or Les Chaussettes Noires.

It is a two channel, three inputs amp. Two for instruments, one for microphone. One bass, one treble, two volume, one tremolo depth and one tremolo speed. There is also a beautiful green pilot light.
